
what we do
The Jordanian Psychiatric Rehabilitation Society (JPRS) and SAFSAF Rehabilitation center, is a nonprofit and nongovernmental local organization established in Jordan in 1989 under the Ministry of social development, licensed No. 873. With generous donation of many donors included ministries and governmental agencies, non-governmental agencies, private companies and embassies, SAFSAF Rehabilitation Center established in 2003, 25 km from Amman, to be the first psychiatric day center in Jordan that offering specialized rehabilitation care as wall as supervising and following up the treatment of those who need its services.
The philosophy of the society:
The (WHO ) identifies a healthy person as a whole, physically mentally and socially. It is not enough that a person is physically fit, but should also be able to deal with the soble to deal with the society and the daily requirements of life. Since human beings have the above needs, and since the society believes that any person is human, regardless of his mental and health conditions, that he must be treated humanely when his functional abilities are deteriorating.
Objectives:
1. Care for the mentally and addicted persons in cooperation with their families participate in the post treatment process of mental, social and professional rehabilitation
2. Assist in finding job opportunities once rehabilitation is over.
3. Enhance mental health awareness to reduce stegma connected with psychiatric illness.
4. Enhance cooperation with the concerned organizations locally and internationally.
